Formed in 1993, Velo Club 167 is a modern cycling club, based primarily in the North on England, but with a varied membership spread over wide geographical area; from Tyneside, through most of Yorkshire and Lancashire.

Velo Club 167 has seen some great riders pass through its ranks over the years, including Andy Oliver and Richard King, who both went on to become 1st category road racers, and we also have some great current members such as Cyclo Cross Veteran, Tony Liddle who finished at an excellent 8th place in the TLI National Veterans Championships in the 2007.

We currently have around 40 active members taking part in many aspects of cycling, including Cyclo Cross, Audax and Time Trials.

Members also tour and cycle-camp around the world and organise audax and cyclo cross events, cycling holidays and youth hostel trips for other members.

There is no list of club or training runs, but members meet to ride audax and other events all year round.

Social events are organised throughout the year, and include the club Christmas dinner, youth hostel weekends and an annual trip to Semaine Federale.

Velo Club 167 is a club for anyone who enjoys riding a bike, for whatever reason. With such a varied membership there is always someone to ride with.
