Long distance cycling events

VeloClub 167 members organise a significant number of long distance cycling events in the UK. Long distance cycling takes so many forms; from independent touring and cycle camping, through supported adventures such as Coast to Coast in a day, ultra-endurance events like the TransContinental Race, and more structured events like Audaxes.

Audax UK is the national organisation which regulates, supports and promotes long distance cycling in the UK – but events only happen when volunteers create them. Across the UK there are hundreds of volunteer run Audaxes, and VC167 members contribute to this by hosting events throughout the Northeast of England – alongside other clubs and individuals.
